4 “under-rated” Nigerian Artistes you should listen to

Searching for Nigerian music with good ‘beats’ but coupled with good vocals and a worthy message?  Well, that may be a tough search because Nigerian music artistes are good at making great hits that find their ways to top music charts; however, finding an artiste that produces songs that combine that good melody, harmony, vocals, instrumentation and depth of message is rare…

On this background, here is a list of some Nigerian artistes you might not have noticed but surely, are making great music in the industry… (In no preferred order of course).

1. TJAN:
Tijani Fowosere, known for his R&B music style, spiced with local rhythms and indigenous lyrics, the Yoruba artiste was born and bred in Surulere, Lagos State. There, he followed his passion for music by getting enrolled in the Muson School of Music to specialize in Music and Vocal Training. Afterwards, he headed to the North American University, Houdegbe, Benin Republic for a degree in Mass Communications in 2013.
With efforts geared towards a successful music career, he was among the 20 finalists on the 3rd Season of the Nigerian Idol reality show. Ever since, Tjan had made wonderful sounds and had the opportunity of working with some genius Nigerian producers.
