If you love horror movies, then you should see this!

Remember the horror movie – ‘living in bondage’, that terrified our childhood? Well, we are both excited and terrified to inform you that a sequel is set to hit the cinema soon! directed by our very own Nollywood veteran star, Ramsey Nouah.
LIVING IN BONDAGE ORIGINALJust in case you have forgotten all about it, let us remind you: The movie told the story of a man, Andy, who sacrifices the person he loves the most (his wife, Merit) for wealth. After her death, her ghost returns to haunt him.
The movie was made 26years ago & directed by Chris Obi Rapu, written by Kenneth Nnebue and Okechukwu Ogunjiofor. It can be argued that it was the starting point of popular money ritual plot in Nollywood, with the production of other movies such as Billionaire’s club and Blood money. Don’t worry, we are not here to talk about how Nollywood terrified and entertained our childhood.

In 2015, veteran actor Ramsey Nouah secured the rights to Living in Bondage from Kenneth Nnebue for a possible remake to be filmed in Europe, America as well as Nigeria. The news was later confirmed on Instagram but appeared to be in development for three years.
In 2018, Nouah announced his remake had become a sequel now titled Living in Bondage: Breaking Free. The sequel is filled with fast cars, super rich destinations; private jets and luxury lifestyle. We are totally stoked and ready to soak all that in.

The sequel is created by Play Network Africa in conjunction with Native Filmworks. It is Produced by Charles Okpaleke (Charles of Play), co-produced by Steve Gukas and directed by Ramsey Nouah. Rumor has it that the movie soundtrack is about to break the internet, with music production by the famous Larry Gaaga. How exciting!

It has been confirmed that Kenneth Okwonkwo, Bob-Manuel Udokwu and Kanayo O. Kanayo who all starred in the original would return for the sequel. New additions include Ramsey Nouah, who would be taking up a villainous role, Enyinna Nwigwe, Nancy Isime, Munachi Abii, Kalu Ikeagwu, Onuoha Peace, Shawn Faqua, David Jones David (Popular Instagram Influencer) and many others.

It was recently announced that the sequel would hit our cinema screens nationwide from November 8th, 2019. Whoop! Whoop! We definitely cannot keep calm. Can you?
We are so anxious to see what would happen to Andy. If you haven’t seen the Original, we strongly suggest you do, click here to watch it in anticipation for the release.
